Jesus Christ is the author and owner of the Church, which is the spiritual temple of God ( Mt 16:18). The Church, ‘Ecclesia’, is the Congregation of God’s chosen people ( 1Cor 3:16). It is the mystical body of Jesus Christ and all the faithful are the members in the body of the Lord(1Cor.12:27). 

The Church is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic — these are the four attributes of the Church according to the Creed.( Eph 2:18-22). 

The Holy Spirit is the guide and guardian of the Church of Christ.(Jn14:26/16:13).
